i11 March 2002
AGE NC Project No 95-0143
' 4 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF WATER SAMPLES
During the February 2002 rnonitonng event, TPH-g was detected In samples collected from
' monitoring wells MW-3,MW-6,MW-7 and MW-9 at concentrations ranging from 160µg/l(MW-7)
to 110,000 µg/l(MW-3) BTEX compounds were detected In wells MW-3, MW-6,MW-7,MW-9,
MW-10, MW-14, MW-15, MW-16 and MW-17 at concentrations as high as 35,000 µg/l toluene
' (MW-3) TBA was detected in the sample collected from MW-24 at a concentrations of 21 µg11
MTBE, DIPE,ETBE, TAME, EDB and 1,2-DCA were not detected In samples collected from the
site during the February 2002 sampling event Figure 4 illustrates the approximate extent of TPH-g
' and benzene contamination in ground water
Measurable free product was not encountered In any of the wells on the site Analytical results of
' ground water samples collected during the February 2002 monitoring event are summarized on
Table 2 Analytical results of historical ground water samples are summarized on Tables 3 and 4
The laboratory report (MAI Laboratory IDs 90474 through 90485) and chain-of-custody forms are
' Included in Appendix B
' * 5.0. SUMMARY/CONCLUSIONS
' Based upon data collected from the site, AGE concludes
• Ground water elevation Increased approximately 102 feet between November 2001 and
' February 2002 Groundwater elevation was within the screened Interval of MW-17,MW-22,
MW-23,MW-24 and the five vapor extraction wells, but above the screened Intervals of the
other eight monitoring wells The Inferred ground water flow direction remains variably
toward the north to northeast at the site
• Petroleum hydrocarbons were detected In nine of the twelve ground water monitoring wells
sampled at concentrations ranging from 0 54 µg/1 toluene (MW-14)to 110,000 µg/1 TPH-g
i (MW-3) TBA was detected In the sample collected from MW-24 at a concentration of
21 µg/1 MTBE, DIPE, ETBE, TAME, EDB and 1,2-DCA were not detected in samples
collected from the site during the February 2002 sampling event Historically, only low
concentrations of fuel oxygenating compounds have been detected at the site since
monitoring for these compounds began in August 1997
i
Advanced GeoE nviro n mental,Inc
