Trinitas Farming, LLC <br /> 7835 S.Inland Dr. <br /> Stockton, CA <br /> Spill Discharge/Response Plan <br /> a) Response to an Incidental Spills/Leaks <br /> Incidental spills and leaks are defined as one that poses no significant harm or threat to human <br /> health and safety to the environment. Incidental spills and leaks are generally those where: <br /> • The quantity of the product is limited in quantity, exposure potential, or toxicity. <br /> • Discharged material is easily stopped and controlled at the time of the discharge. <br /> • The spill can be cleaned up within a short time frame (i.e. less than 6 to 8 hours). <br /> • Spills and leaks that are fully contained within spill containment. <br /> • Spill/leak is localized near the source. <br /> • Spilled material is unlikely to reach water. <br /> • There is little risk to human health or safety. <br /> • There is little risk of fire or explosion. <br /> In the event of an incidental spill or leak the following guidelines should be followed: <br /> 1) Upon initial discovery: <br /> a) Determine: <br /> • Is the spill incidental or emergency response? <br /> • Should you evacuate or respond? <br /> b) Safety First: <br /> • Do not put yourself in harm's way <br /> • If conditions change,the spill or leak may no longer be incidental <br /> 2) Inform and Block: <br /> a) Notify an Emergency Coordinator <br /> • Inform: who,what,where,how much <br /> b) Limit traffic through the spill area <br /> 3) Protect Yourself <br /> a) What Personal Protective Equipment is needed? <br /> • Check with Emergency Coordinator <br /> • Check SDS sheets <br /> 4) Deploy Spill Response Materials <br /> a) For Incidental Spills/leaks <br /> • Absorbent socks, spill kits, absorbents, shovels,brooms <br /> 5) Bag or containerize waste <br /> a) Place waste in proper containers (i.e. 55-gallon steel drums) <br /> b) Label properly <br /> c) Store properly prior to disposal <br /> 6) Decontaminate <br /> a) Clean floors,tools, surfaces exposed to spill <br /> b) Discard used PPE <br /> c) Wash hands, face, arms, etc. <br /> 7) Restock <br /> a) Replace used spill equipment and PPE <br /> 34 <br />
