Three 32 fl. oz. bottles of Clorox Mildew Root Penetrator&Remover containing sodium hypochlorite and bleach <br /> were observed inside the hazardous waste bin for Toxic&State Regulated Waste (ST). However, according to the <br /> Stericycle guidance poster posted in the hazardous waste storage area, materials containing sodium hypochlorite <br /> and/or blean are classified as Oxidizers(OX). <br /> 2. See violation 605. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business owner must ensure that all employees are thoroughly familiar with <br /> proper waste handling and emergency procedures, relevant to their responsibilities during normal facility operations <br /> and emergencies. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately train the employees. Provide proof of training within 30 days to the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)for employees whose responsibilities include hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 110 CCR 66262.40(a) Failed to keep signed copy of manifests from the designated facility for three years. <br /> OBSERVATION: The business operator could not provide hazardous waste disposal records for the past three <br /> years during the inspection. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall keep a copy of each manifest signed in <br /> accordance with section 66262.23(a)for three years or until the generator receives a signed copy from the <br /> designated facility which received the waste.This signed copy shall be retained as a record for at least three years <br /> from the date the waste was accepted by the initial transporter. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Provide a copy of disposal records for the past three years, 5/21/2017-5/21/2020,for all <br /> hazardous waste.
