ATTACHMENT C-3
ALTERNATIVES - FINDINGS OF INFEASIBILITY
1 . No Proigct Alternative
Findings : Specific economic, social , or other
considerations make infeasible this alternative as
identified in the Final EIR.
Statement of Facts :
• The No-Project Alternative would not meet any of the
Project Applicant ' s objectives .
• The No-Project Alternative would result in the loss
to San Joaquin County of all the benefits of the
Project .
- Potential net fiscal benefits to the County
General Fund and to road, library and fire
district funds
- Ability of Project by its location and amenities
to attract higher quality employment for San
Joaquin County
- Ability to accommodate growth on lesser value
agricultural land while minimizing loss of the
County' s better agricultural lands
- Ability of the Project to encourage transit and
to minimize impact of growth or regional roads
- New recreational facilities such as Old River
park, Mountain House Creek linear park, golf
courses and marina . Under No-Project
Alternative, these facilities would not be built
at the site .
2 . Tracy Alternative Site
Finding; Specific economic , social , or other
considerations make infeasible the adoption of this
Project alternative .
Statement of Facts
• Since this Alternative Site would be adjacent to and
designed to become part of the City of Tracy, it
would not meet the basic criteria as a New Town .
