B. EXISTING SITE CHARACTERISTICS <br /> 1. Describe the existing uses and improvements on the project site <br /> ( including the type and number of any structures , roads, etc. ) . <br /> If undeveloped, put "vacant" or "agriculture" : Property in both counties <br /> is used for drainage, razin and a ricultural purposes with dis erse groups of <br /> structures residences , equipment, storage, etc neede to support the agricultural <br /> use. <br /> 2 . Uses in immediate vicinity : <br /> North Water, storaqe & agriculture South Residential and Interstate Freeway <br /> East Agriculture and housing West nd Wind- arms <br /> 3 . Describe the existing topography on-site (e.g. , <br /> % of slopes , etc. ) Generali flat and sloping to h e northeast wsith an avaerage <br /> slope of 1% except for rollinq foothills along the westerly bound ar in Alameda <br /> County) . Elevations vary from a maximum of 300 ft along the west boundary in <br /> Alameda County) to 0 ft. adjacent to Old River. <br /> 4 . Describe existing drainage courses or eroded areas on or near the <br /> project site (e .g. , rivers , creeks , drainage ditches ) : <br /> Mountain House Creek, a major drainage channel , traverses through the site from <br /> the southwest in Alameda County to the fort east in an oaquin County. Uld <br /> River. a Delta waterwav borders the site on the northeast <br /> 5 . Describe the existing vegetation on-site and the percentage of the <br /> site it covers (map any significant vegetation stands and all <br /> mature trees 6" or greater in diameter ) It is estimated that 80% is used <br /> fora riculturalgrazing or related uses. In areas around resi ences an <br /> _agriculture support structures , there are a few stands of mature trees o various <br /> varieties. <br /> 6 . Describe the existing wildlife on-site : Typical of the rural agricultural <br /> _scene along the west side of the valley. See attached report for urt er etail . <br /> 7 . Are there any cemeteries , structures , or other items of historical <br /> or archaeological interest on the property? No X <br /> Yes , specify: <br /> 8 . Describe any nearby or on-site hazards or hazardous areas <br /> (airports, waste sites , seismic, liquefaction ) : <br /> There are no known hazards or hazardous areas nearby or on-site. <br /> 9 . Describe any areas subject to flooding on the property and fre- <br /> quency. Describe any areas experiencing poor drainage (ponding, <br /> etc . ) The northeastern portion of the site (up to elevation 8) is subject to <br /> floodinq as a result of a 100-year flood eventAreas adjacent to Iver <br /> may experience poor drainage. <br /> 10 .
