10 0 <br />CCPC — SAFETY & SECURITY DEPARTMENT Section: 2.08 <br />Title: EMERGENCY ACTION MANUAL Page: 1 of 2 <br />Subject: Spill Response/Compressed Gas Leaks Policy Revision: (05/14/04) <br />Spills or compressed gas leaks that occur on our properties can have a devastating effect <br />on the environment and may require reporting to an outside agency. Failure to report <br />significant spills can result in severe fines. In this event anv and all spills or gas leaks <br />must be reported to the secup:ft building ext.5299. <br />Prior to placing the call if the spill is liquid and near a storm or sanitary drain <br />you must prevent the spilled material from going down the drain. Spill kits <br />are strategically placed at all facilities and contain an assortment of absorbent <br />materials that should be used to form a dike around a drain. In addition some <br />spill kits contain a mat that can be placed over the drain. <br />1 i 11 SODA), ONLY MW SR11PPED <br />SOCKS. <br />Should the incident involve a gas leak the area should be evacuated and closed <br />up if possible. <br />In either case you should be certain that any possible ignition sources are <br />eliminated. <br />2. After assuring the spill will not enter a drain, the area is evacuated and all <br />ignition sources are eliminated, you must call the Security Building. If more <br />than one employee is present, ask them to contact the security building (Dial <br />5299 or 5303) and inform the guard that: <br />A. A spill or gas leak has occurred; <br />B. The specific location of the spill or gas leak; <br />C.
