The person placing the call must remain at the phone for a callback on what <br />procedures are to be followed. If the person forming the dikes has to place <br />the call, be sure that material flow has stopped spreading before making <br />the call. <br />4. The Maintenance department of a emergency response team member will <br />make the determination as to what type of container to use for placing spilled <br />material into or handle the leaking gas. They will also be responsible for <br />contacting any emergency responders. The Maintenance department is <br />responsible for the determination of the appropriate disposal method or <br />evacuation of a gas. <br />5. It is very important that the above steps be followed in order to maintain an <br />environmentally sound and safe workplace and to comply with various laws <br />related to chemicals and hazardous materials. <br />1 <br />6. In the event of a spill or gas leak report, the following procedures shall be <br />followed by whomever receives the call: <br />A: Ask the caller to identify themselves and what extension they are calling <br />from; <br />B: Ask for the location of the spill of gas leak; <br />C: Ask for the type of material(s) spilled or leaking <br />D: Ask for the amount of material(s) spilled or leaking <br />E: Remind them to remain at that extension for a return call; <br />F: Page according to the Emergency Action Phone List <br />DO NOT COPY: THIS IS A CONTROLLED DOCUMENT Approved by: <br />This page is to remain at all times with introduction of this manual <br />l� `i` <br />
