Inspection Date:Apr23, 2012 <br /> 5023 Flood Road, Linden,CA 95236 Response Date: May 24, 2012 <br /> The following are corrective actions or extension requests to violations listed in Hazardous Waste <br /> Program Inspection Report of Inspection Date Apr 23, 2012, performed by Inspector Jeffery Wong: <br /> RECEIVED <br /> Violation#108 <br /> MA's 2 4 2012 <br /> Press Shop: <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH <br /> • Problem-One 5-gallon bucket of unknown solid. PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> Corrective Action- Determined to be non-hazardous waste salt and discarded as such. <br /> • Problem-Six 5-gallon buckets of unknown liquids. <br /> Corrective Action-Two determined as new oil and labeled (see Photo 1),the other four <br /> determined to be used oil and dumped into Used Oil hazardous waste container. <br /> • Problem-Two 55-gallon drums of unknown liquids in boiler room. <br /> Corrective Action-Determined to be Water/Oil Press Solution and labeled (see Photo 2). <br /> • Problem-Two buckets of oily waste by hydraulic press. <br /> Corrective Action- Determined to be used oil, drained daily and labeled as such, and <br /> consolidated to one bucktet(see Photo 3). <br /> • Problem-One-gallon bucket of oily waste by the Preco Press. <br /> Corrective Action-Determined to be used oil,drained daily and labeled as such (see Photo 4). <br /> • Problem-Two 55-gallon drums of unknown liquid west of Press Shop. <br /> Corrective Action- Determined to be new hydraulic oil in one drum, and the second drum is <br /> empty. Both drums labeled (see Photo 5). <br /> Metal Prep Building Area: <br /> • Problem-Steel grit on shop floor. <br /> Corrective Action-Grit was swept up for re-use,see Photo 6. <br /> • Problem-Glass bead and aluminum oxide wastes on floor by the bead blaster, behind the Metal <br /> Prep Building. <br /> Corrective Action-Waste was determined as non-hazardous waste,swept up and disposed (see <br /> Photo 7). <br /> • Problem-5-gallon bucket of unknown solid in the Lean-to behind the Metal Prep Building. <br /> Corrective Action- Determined to be aluminum oxide non-hazardous waste,and disposed. <br /> West and Northwest fence area: <br /> • Problem-One 1-gallon bucket of black oily solid with cracks on the side of wooden pallet. <br /> Corrective Action- Determined to be Benzoflex with Urethane prepolymer mix. Request 60 day <br /> extension to determine if waste is hazardous or non-hazardous. <br /> �� Page 1 <br />
