• Before collecting confirmation samples have personnel sweep excavated surface <br /> with broom to remove any stray paint chips. Sweep any areas of asphalt that are <br /> dirty or have paint chips. <br /> • Collect confirmation soil samples from 10 locations in the work area about 3-5 feet <br /> off the edge of the asphalt. At each location collect at surface and just below (mix). <br /> Identify samples by grid location anddepth just like before but with "C" prefix for <br /> "confirmation". (ie. s C60W/4S/surf , etc.) Make absolutely certain that no debris <br /> ' caves into the samples. <br /> • Collect 3 additional surface samples near and east of previous sample 121E/3S and <br /> 1 sample at depth of 3" below excavated surface at location of 121E/3S (see map). <br /> ' • Collect 1 surface sample with hand auger drive sampler from soil on the levee at <br /> previous location "0". <br /> • Samples to GeoAnalytical in Modesto. All samples to be analyzed for total <br /> copper. Confirmation samples from previous locations "0/3S", "50E/3S"and <br /> "52W/3S" also need to be analyzed for total lead, total chromium and hexavalent <br /> chromium. (Specify ICP on chain of custody...to save costs). Also specify on COC <br /> that lab should retain all unused samples for possible additional analyses.- <br /> 0 Affix hazwaste labels to rolloff bin and cover with tarp. Collect several samples <br /> of binned soil and send to lab but have them hold the analyses. <br /> Make sure you bring all necessary measuring and sampling equipment. <br /> Additional items to attend to: <br /> z <br /> Notify Thorpe to bring about 50 more feet of silt fence.
