Pur ose: <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (SJCEHD) requested assistance <br /> with sampling at Nexframe. <br /> .II. Background <br /> Nexframe takes sheets of metal and fabricates it into metal frames for con d struotuth of <br /> ion of <br /> residential homes. The company has a very concrge production facility locat <br /> re a slab bay that is used or all fabrication <br /> -central Stockton that has one large <br /> needs. <br /> III. Observations: <br /> On April 10, 2007, Michelle Le and I arrived at Nexfravt i co dWe me uct with Se of even l <br /> bearing waste streams for potential hazardous waste <br /> Schott the Safety and Security Manager and received the okay from him to take <br /> samples of metal bearing waste at Nexframe. <br /> Mr. Schott took us on a flour of the Nexframe facility and s s t wee used n res dentia)s how they ate <br /> the different thicknesses of galvanized steel into frame <br /> construction. Mr. Schott showed us the roller machinesused for e used to take residential es dental home w zinc <br /> galvanized sheets of steel and form them into frames <br /> construction. The metal shavings that are.found in the machines are put into buckets <br /> and sent offsite for recycling. <br /> We wanted to see waste generation areas, so we located <br /> inside of itfloor <br /> thatss used to catch the <br /> weeping machine <br /> (see Photo# 11). This machine did not have a sock <br /> particles swept up from the floor; the operator said it was outside the bay drying from <br /> being cleaned out. Mr. Schott, Michelle Le and I went outside to locate the sock and it <br /> ® Printed on Recycled Paper <br />
