Commingled filters shall be drained of free-flowing oil, stored in a closed, rainproof container, <br /> labeled as"drained used oil and gasoline filters," and marked with an accumulation start date. This container was <br /> labeled with all the required information at the time of inspection, ensure that all used oil filters are managed in this <br /> way. This was corrected on site. <br /> 2) One 55-gallon container of drained used oil and gasoline filters located outside in the hazardous waste storage area <br /> behind the shop was lacking an accumulation start date on its label. Facilities that generate up to one ton of used oil <br /> filters per year may store the filters up to one year. Facilities that generate one ton or more of used oil filters may <br /> store the filters for up to 180 days. Since its unclear how long these filters have been onsite, immediately recycle <br /> these filters under a bill of lading and submit a copy of the bill of lading to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Onsite to conduct a routine hazardous waste generator inspection. A checklist of findings was left onsite at the <br /> time of inspection, a full report was mailed to the facility on December 4, 2015. <br /> This facility is on record as a RCRA LQG, based on the onsite records and facility statements, it doesn't appear <br /> that this facility is a RCRA LQG hazardous waste generator and as such it was inspected as a non-RCRA LQG. <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, 30 days from receipt of the full inspection report. <br /> Please be aware as of January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials information <br /> online to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov.
