e
EPA will provide all labor, equipment and materials
necessary to conduct the excavations, sort through the wastes and
identify the debris, and provide containers, transportation and
disposal for the recovered debris . In accordance with recent
discussions with the City of Stockton, their landfill operator
will provide all necessary labor, equipment and materials to
locate the approximate area of the debris, place cover over the
excavated area at the end of each day and compact to grade upon
completion, and provide an operated water truck and dozer as
needed. The City' s operator will be reimbursed by EPA for its
efforts based on rates agreed to prior to the start of work.
It is our understanding that after the identified debris has
been excavated and transported from the landfill as per this
plan, the County, the City and the State agree that this matter
has been satisfactorily resolved and that no further actions will
be requested of, nor taken against EPA.
Our OSC will be in contact with you and the City to finalize
the specific date and other details for this operation. We hope
to be able to remove the debris in late July or early August . If
the above does not accurately reflect our agreement, or if you
have any questions about this plan, feel free to contact me at
415/744-2353 or Brad Shipley at 415/744-2287 . Thank you for your
cooperation on this matter.
Sincerely,
Donald C.
