Architecture <br />Enaineerina <br />Planninq_ <br />ASSOCIATED DESIGN AND ENGINEERING N INC. <br />May 11, 2011 <br />Mr. Kent Baucher <br />Technicon Engineering <br />4539 North Brawley #108 <br />Fresno, CA 93722 <br />E. <br />i <br />El 1-008 <br />SUBJECT: Certification of the New Oil and Waste Oil Storage Tank (3,000 Gallon) located <br />at Swift Transportation Maintenance Shop located at 901 D'Arcy Parkway, <br />Lathrop, CA <br />Dear Mr. Baucher: <br />As per your request, the above mentioned tank was examined, measured and tested in <br />preparation for certification in accordance with California Administration Code Title 22 Section <br />66265.191, "Assessment of Existing Tank Systems Integrity" and STI Spool Table 5.5. During <br />the field visit, it was learned that the subject double wall tank (3,000 gallon +/-) is located above <br />ground. The contents of the tank are new motor oil at the east half of the tank and used motor oil <br />at the west half of the tank. The motor oil is classified as a NON-RCRA hazardous waste. <br />Based on the results contained herein, the following certification for the above mentioned tank is <br />given. The undersigned Registered Professional Engineer attest that the tank system is <br />adequately designed and has sufficient structural strength and compatibility with the waste(s) to <br />be transferred, stored or treated to ensure that it will not collapse, rupture or fail. <br />I certify under penalty of perjury of law that this document and all attachments were prepared <br />under my direction or supervision in accordance with a system designed to assure that qualified <br />personnel properly gather and evaluate the information submitted. Based on my inquiry of the <br />person or persons who manage the system, the information submitted is, to the best of my <br />knowledge and belief, true, accurate and complete. I am aware that there are significant <br />penalties for submitting false information, including the possibility of fines and imprisonment for <br />knowing violations.
