o The specific number is given to all craft employees who will process <br /> their time to the work order. <br /> o Administrative attendees are noted on the work order by the safety <br /> specialist. <br /> o The work order is completed and later closed by the safety <br /> specialist. <br /> o A summary sheet is processed documenting the attendance of <br /> each craft employee that participated in the safety training. <br /> o A copy of the summary is submitted to Mobile Equipment <br /> administrative personnel for filing as well as for compliance with the <br /> EEO Sixteen Steps Program. <br /> o Upon request per State, Federal or Environmental compliance <br /> officer the training materials and work order can be called up via <br /> our EAM program to verify the training of our craft personnel and <br /> administrative personnel that have been noted on the work order. <br /> SAFETY PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT <br /> • The safety specialist is responsible for the research, purchase, training <br /> and implementation of personal protective equipment for our employees. <br /> • Some of the personal protective equipment utilized: <br /> o Safety steel toe boot program. A program that encourages the <br /> wearing of 8 inch steel toe safety boots. The program reimburses <br /> each employee yearly for 50% of the expense for their actively <br /> purchasing and wearing steel toe safety boots. <br /> o Prescription safety glasses are coordinated with the division <br /> procurement manager whereby employees are eligible to have <br /> safety glasses custom made on an annual or as needed basis. <br /> o Respirator requirements are first tested to see if there are <br /> alternatives to our employee wearing a respirator for the job. If <br /> required the employee is medically certified through our <br /> occupational clinic, trained, provided the proper respirator for the <br /> specific task, and tested. The employee is retested and medically <br /> recertified annually. Documentation of training as well as the <br /> logging of use is maintained by the safety specialist. <br /> o Other personal protective equipment is provided including gloves, <br /> knee pads, hearing protection etc. The purchasing and training is <br /> done by the safety specialist. <br /> SAFETY SUGGESTION AND SAFETY CORRECTION <br /> • All Mobile Equipment shops are empowered to act upon any safety <br /> suggestion made by one of our employees. <br />
