e <br /> n ' <br /> o The safety specialist developed a training program to coincide with <br /> the company diesel idling program. <br /> o This program complies with the California Air Resources Board <br /> requirement. <br /> o The training has been distributed to all company business units. <br /> o Documentation of training for our divisional personnel is processed <br /> through the EAM Work Order system. <br /> CRANE PROGRAM <br /> • Crane Certification <br /> o The division coordinates the quarterly crane inspections for all <br /> mobile and bridge cranes of 6,000 pound capacity and above <br /> throughout the entire company. <br /> o The division coordinates with our outside vendor, AC3, the annual <br /> and the quadrennial inspection and certification of all of the mobile <br /> cranes and bridge cranes throughout our company. <br /> o The division maintains the filing of all crane certifications. <br /> o The division coordinates the distribution of all crane certifications <br /> for each crane throughout the company, so that the specific unit <br /> has the mandatory documentation that the crane has been <br /> inspected and certified. <br /> o The division inspects and forwards all rigging, chains, slings and <br /> cables, for annual certification and coordinates with our vendors the <br /> maintenance of all inspection records complying with the OSHA <br /> requirements for lifting devices. <br /> • Crane Operator Certification <br /> o The division safety specialist coordinated the initial training and <br /> certification of our company crane operators. <br /> o Operators that operate mobile cranes 25 feet in length and/or <br /> 15,000 pounds are required to be certified. <br /> o The operators completed the training course and passed the written <br /> and hands on certification program developed through the National <br /> Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators. <br /> o Our division safety specialist continues to assist our crane <br /> operators with the renewing of their certifications through their <br /> respective trade organizations. <br /> o The Vice President of Safety and the division safety specialist are <br /> currently coordinating in the design of a new training and <br /> certification program to comply with the new OSHA and soon to be <br /> new Cal OSHA crane operator certification requirements. <br />
