• Universal Waste Program <br /> o Since 2004, the division has implemented a universal waste <br /> program. <br /> o Assistance and sharing of training and the program has been <br /> shared to all business units of the company. <br /> o Ongoing assistance is provided to each business unit when <br /> requested. <br /> o Universal waste products are labeled with accumulation dates and <br /> are collected on a semi-annual basis. <br /> o Universal waste products are transported and delivered to a <br /> approved processing facility. <br /> o Completed bill of ladings are matched up with the destruction <br /> invoices to account for all collected waste products. <br /> • Visible Emission Evaluation Program <br /> o The division superintendents and safety specialist are certified by <br /> the California Environmental Protection Agency to verify that the <br /> jobsite emissions are within the approved guidelines established for <br /> the particular jobsite. <br /> o The certified employee will visit the job, document the particulate <br /> release per piece of equipment, total the releases per the jobsite, <br /> and submit the evaluation. <br /> o This service is provided to our company business units allowing our <br /> company to maintain the competitive advantage based upon the <br /> high quality of the equipment provided by our division to our <br /> operating units. <br /> • Hazardous Material Handling <br /> o The Division Administrator, superintendents and safety specialist <br /> developed a training program for the certification of our fuel and <br /> lube drivers. <br /> o The program involves certification of the driver when initially hired <br /> as well as the three year compliance training for re-certification. <br /> o The program involves the compiling of shipping papers, material <br /> safety data sheets, licensing, insurance and collection of hazardous <br /> materials. <br /> o Assistance is given to all business units of the company when the <br /> need arises for there employees to handle and or transport <br /> hazardous materials. <br /> • Diesel Idling Policy <br />
