Click on the desired position for a detailed Job Function Analysis Short Summary: Superintendent: • Responsible for safety and welfare of all employees assigned • Conducts periodic inspections of work areas • Identifies, corrects and documents potential unsafe work practices • Reviews injuries, accidents and incidents investigation reports • Assists in developing and review pre -task safety plans and procedures • Coaches and counsels foreman and employees in safe production • Ensures new hires receive safety orientation • Enforces the provision of the Injury Prevention and Safety Program and the Zero Injury Culture • Ensures that personnel are qualified and have the experience to safely perform assigned duties • High school diploma required, First Aid CPR encouraged. Foreman • Direct supervisor of all employees assigned • Responsible for safety and welfare of all employees assigned • Coaches and counsels employees on the importance of safe work procedures • Involved and enforces the provisions of the Injury Prevention and Safety Program and the Zero Injury Culture • Promotes near hit reporting • Conducts daily inspections of the work areas. Identifies unsafe work practices and initiates corrective actions • Encourages employees to report unsafe conditions and practices • Assists in the training and documentation of all safety training • Assists in the investigation of injuries, accidents and incidents • Reports incidents to the superintendent and safety specialist • Instructs employees in the recognition and avoidance of potential hazards • Assists in the development of codes of safe practice and safety procedures • High school diploma required, First Aid CPR encouraged.
