*IL R:- <br />Blease or Threatened Relme Mitigatian <br />A. If the EC determines the necessity of using an in-house emergency response <br />team (ERT), after organization of the team the ERT will, upon activation, <br />immediately prepare to respond to the emergency until arrival of necessary <br />outside emergency personnel. [An emergency response team will be <br />established in the future but there are no team memberrs; designated at this <br />time.] <br />B. Responders will don appropriate PPE and commence control & containment <br />of a small spill or release. PPE will be consistent with the recommendations <br />made on the MSDS for the specific material spilled and will depend upon <br />the size of the spill or release. In the event of a significant spill or release <br />responders will. assist off-site emergency responders as appropriate to the <br />plant person level of training. <br />D. During an emergency, the EC shall take the following measures to ensure <br />that releases, fire, or explosions do not reoccur or spread to other hazardous <br />wastes at the facility: <br />Stop the Release Gates -Valves, etc. <br />Shut Down Power Electrictiy, Gas <br />Contain Release <br />Move other materials away form release. <br />E. The EC shall submit a report to DTSC within 15 days of the incident, <br />providing details of the incident as designated on the Emergency Incident <br />Report form. <br />13 <br />
