DOUBLE WALL TANK WITH LIQUID-FILLED;(WET) <br />INTERSTI ` nSAL SPACE <br />PRIMARY (INTERNAL) TANK TEST <br />NOTE: Keep the tank vertical (the reservoir on top) during the preinstallation <br />testirig or the Squid (typically brine) may drain from the reservoir. <br />1. Open one service fitting and the fitting on the reservoir. Check <br />for liquid in the reservoir - it should be about half full. Do not <br />open the monitor fittings - liquid (typically brine) will be lost. <br />Remove the remaining fittings, redope, and reinstall fitting <br />plugs. <br />2. Visually check the interior of the tank for liquid - there should <br />not be any. Install the test manifold in the open service fitting. <br />Connect the pressure source to the test manifold. (See Figure 2-4). <br />3. Pressurize the primary (internal) tank to 5 PSIG. Add or remove <br />air as necessary and allow the pressure to stabilize. Close the <br />valve on the test manifold. Disconnect the air supply line. <br />4. Monitor the pressure for one hour. Soap ail fittings and <br />nanways and watch for active air bubbles which indicate a <br />leak Check the reservoir for bubbles in the monitor fluid. <br />5. Lift the tank to check the bottom. Do not roll the tank. <br />/I\ DANGER: <br />0o not stand under the tank while it is being lifted. <br />When the testis complete, remove the test manifold. Visually <br />check the interior of the tank for liquid. Replace the protective <br />covers in :he service fitting and the reservoir fitting. <br />
