ON-SITE PROJECT SAFETY <br />The Project Safety officer has the authority to suspend <br />work anytime he determines that the provisions of the <br />plan are inadequate to ensure worker safety. The <br />Project Safety Officer shall also inform the Owner's <br />Representative of individuals whose conduct are not <br />consistent with the requirements of the plan. In <br />addition, the Project Superintendent shall be <br />responsible for the following: <br />Safety Supplies & Equipment Inventory <br />Medical Surveillance Program/Physical Examinations <br />Training Programs/Hazard Communication <br />Accident/Incident Reporting Procedures <br />Decontamination/Contamination Reduction Procedures <br />B. PROJECT SAFETY OFFICER <br />The Project Safety Officer is responsible for overall <br />safety and loss prevention functions. <br />Responsibilities include: <br />- Health surveillance of all project site employees; <br />- Assuring that safety procedures in effect are in <br />compliance with all appropriate federal, state, and <br />company regulations (following the most stringent of <br />the standards); <br />- Maintenance of personnel exposure monitoring <br />records; <br />- Assuring appropriate personal protective equipment is <br />adequate for actual hazards of on-site conditions; <br />- Assuring appropriate hazard areas are identified and <br />marked; <br />- Assuring all personnel entering hazard area are in <br />appropriate levels of protection; <br />N <br />
