Alternate construction for new underground storage tanks containing motor vehicles fuel (section 26331. <br /> (1) Monitoring and retoonse pian {section 26341. <br /> (2) Underground storage tank composed of.... <br /> (a) Fibergtass reinforced plastic. <br /> (b) Cathodicalty protected steel. <br /> - (c) Stee( clad with fiberglass reinforced plastic- <br /> (d) Other material that complies with section 2631 and 2632. <br /> (3) Floor of leak interception and detection system constructed on a firm base and sloped to a <br /> collection sump (use of membrane liners comply with section 2631 (d) (6) requirements.) <br /> _ (4) ACCess casings installed in the collection sL.mp of the secondary contairment System with <br /> backfill in the interstitial space. The access casing shall meet all of the following: <br /> Designed and installed to attow the liquid to flow into the casing. <br /> Sized to allow removal of cotleeted liquid and able to withstand all anticipated applied <br /> stresses. <br /> Constructed of material that will not be structurally weakened. <br /> Screened along entire vertical zone of permeable material. <br /> Capable of preventing leakage of any hazardous substance from the casing. <br /> Extend to the ground surface and covered with a locked waterproof cap. <br /> Capable of meeting S.J. Co. PNS-ENO Well Standards. <br /> Leak interception and detection system shall prevent the leaked hazardous substance from <br /> entering ground water. <br /> 14. INTERSTITIAL SPACE MONITORING <br /> A.
