Page 13 of 23 Standard Operating Procedures <br />Health and Safety Plans <br />- Measured air concentrations of identified substances (organic vapors) will be reduced <br />by the respirator to at or below the substance's exposure limit, and the concentration <br />is within the service limit of the canister. <br />- Atmospheric contaminant concentrations do not exceed Immediately Dangerous <br />to Life and Health (IDLH) levels. <br />- Atmospheric contaminants, liquid splashes, or other direct contact will not <br />adversely affect the small area of skin left unprotected by chemical -resistant <br />clothing. <br />- Job functions have been determined not to require self-contained breathing apparatus. <br />8.2.3 Safety Equipment <br />Basic emergency and first aid equipment will be available in or near the work zone, as <br />appropriate.
