SIWLouD RESPONSE PLAN FOR THE REMOVALOF UNAUTHORIZED <br /> RELEASES FROM IMRSTITIAL SPACE OF DOUBLE-CONTAIN1WENT UST <br /> SYSTEMS <br /> 1. Upon recognition of a suspected unauthorized release from the primary containnient or a <br /> breach in the secondary conamment,store personnel will notify the Quik Stop Director <br /> of Environmental Affairs,Mike Karvelot,at(510)657-8500. <br /> 2. The Director of Environmental Affairs will arrange for a qualified contractor to v . the <br /> suspected h of primary or secondary containment and/or verify proper operation of <br /> the monitoring system. <br /> 3. Upon confirming the loss of tank system integdty,Regulatory Agencies will be notified, <br /> the tank system en out of service,and product removed from the primary container. <br /> 4. The Director of Environmental Affairs will authorize all work necessary under this plan. <br /> In the case of a leaking •ves of the tank manufacturer will conduct <br /> inspection to determine if repairable. The most appropriate method to repair any failed <br /> product lines will be determined by field conditions. <br /> 5. All repairs to the failed tank system will be completed pursuant to the requirements of 23 <br /> CCR,Section 2661. Tank repairs,specifically,will be conducted <br /> supervision and approval of the tank manufacturer. A qualified contractor will conduct <br /> line repairs. <br /> 6. Upon completion of repairs,the tank and F*duct fine will be Precision tested in <br /> accordance with the above regulation. nie tank manufacturer will for <br /> its intended use prior to bringing the tank back into . <br /> 7.
