6. HAZARDOUS MATERIALS STORED AT THIS SITE:
PRODUCTDOT/HAZARDOUS
VOLUME TANK NO. CLASS
(1) Unleaded Gasoline 12,000 gallons max. 5417-1-1 FL/la
(2) Super Unleaded Gasoline 12,000 gallons max. 5417-2-1 FL/la
7. SEPARATION OF MATERIAL: Every precaution is taken to prevent mixture of
products. Each petroleum product grade is stored in individual tanks with
individual pipelines to dispensers. Each storage tank has a product and
capacity tag attached to the fill tube. Manhole covers are painted with
identifying color code. Should the products be mixed by accident, a more
hazardous situation would not exist..
There will not be any cutting or welding of materials permitted anywhere
on the premises during construction or normal operating conditions.
8. MONITORING PLAN:
a), Inventory Control - Inventory records shall be maintained and reconciled
by the station operator for each tank and product for indication of
possible leakage from tanks or piping on a daily basis. (See Daily
Inventory Control Record Form.)
The basic daily gasoline inventory record shall contain the following
information for each tank.
1) Product
2) Stick of gauge reading opening physical inventory
3) Meter reading of sales
4) Delivery receipts
5) Inventory balance
6) Closing physical inventory
7) Volume differential (overage or shortage)
8) Signature of person reconciling inventory
Inventory records will be available at the facility for inspection at
all times and will be maintained for one year and reviewed monthly by
Unocal.
b) Pressurized piping systems shall be monitored utilizing Red Jacket on
line leak detectors. Operator is to be aware that reduction in product
flow to 3 ± gallons per minute indicates a potential leak. Leak detectors
will be tested yearly for proper operation.
c) Records and Inspections - All records of underground tanks and petroleum
piping shall be logged in writing using corresponding inspection log.
(See attached examples of logging forms). Following is a list of
monitoring activities and inspection which will be recorded.
