0 SECTION 11.2 FUEL PUMP AIND DISPENSER INSTALLATION <br />I. Strainer shall be of 100 mesh rustproof screen with a 35 micron filter. <br />J. Provide structural steel stands for mounting of pumps and control panels. Provide factory <br />winng and factory piping for pumps and accessories. <br />K. Provide all controls for motor starters, disconnects, and terminal block or connection to <br />auxiliary tank level controls. <br />L. Self-contained dispensers and pumps shall be listed by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. <br />2.02 PRESSURE-TYPE DISPENSERS AND SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS <br />.L. The Contractor shall install the equipment as described on the service station equipment list. <br />The scope of work will designate if the equipment is to be owner furnished or contractor <br />furnished. <br />B. Base and frame of dispenser shall be rectangular -shaped steel stamping with a bolted -down <br />design and a weather protection, anti -corrosion finish. <br />C. A product hose of 12 feet in length having a 1 -inch inside diameter constructed of gasoline <br />resistant anti -static synthetic rubber with a retractor shall be installed. For gasoline delivery <br />systems, the hose will be coaxial capable of vapor recovery in compliance with the CARB. <br />D. Fuel nozzle shall be an automatic shut-off, i -inch rigid tube, curved and tapered in <br />compliance with CARB regulations. <br />E. Submersible pumps shall be of the appropriate horsepower to ensure adequate flow rates, <br />F. Pump switch shall be designed so motor is activated only when operating handle is turned to <br />the ON position. A remote shut-off switch shall be provided that is in compliance with all <br />applicable federal, state, and local codes. The remote shut off switch is to be a minimum of 15' <br />and a maximum of 75' from the nearest pump or dispenser. <br />G. Register shall be same as for suction systems. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSTALLATION PREPARATION <br />A.
