INSTRUCTIONS FOR VP2501 (ORION 21 <br />TESTING THE SECONDARY PIPE <br />Follow standard instructions. <br />INSTALLING THE SECONDARY PIPE <br />Step One— Measuring and Cutting the Secondary Pipe <br />Tank sump to first dispenser sump: Hold the end of the <br />measuring tape to the adaptor fitting, remove excess slack <br />in the tape measure, and measure to the center of the first <br />dispenser sump. Subtract 10" from the final measurement. <br />Dispenser sump to dispenser sump on curved and straight <br />pipe runs: Measure from center of sump to center of sump. <br />Subtract 12" from the final measurement. <br />Carefully cut pipe around the base of the corrugation with <br />a utility knife. <br />ASSEMBLING THE PRIMARY PIPE <br />Follow standard instructions. <br />PRESSURE TESTING THE PRIMARY <br />Follow standard instructions. <br />ASSEMBLING THE PIPING COMPONENTS <br />Step Two— Connecting the Primary Pipe <br />D) Before attaching the primary pipe in the tank and <br />dispenser sumps, place the CS2520 over the primary <br />coupling and onto the end of the secondary, making sure <br />the sealing rib aligns with a corrugation in the secondary. <br />Tighten the stainless steel clamp over the secondary 30 <br />inch pounds. After steps E -F, tighten the stainless steel <br />clamp over the coupling ferrule 30 inch pounds. <br />TESTING WITH THE PRIMARY INSTALLED <br />Step One— Inspecting the Test Boot Connection <br />Check to make sure the band clamps on the CS2520 have <br />been tightened correctly onto the coupling ferrule and the <br />secondary. <br />Step Two— Connecting the Flow Tube Kits <br />Flow tube kits are installed at tee connections in dispenser <br />sumps. Insert the barbed ends of the nylon flow tube kit <br />(FT1150) into the flow nipple on the installed CS2520. <br />Tighten the stainless steel clamp to 30 inch pounds. <br />Step Three— Connecting the Test Tube Kits <br />Test tube kits are installed at elbow in dispenser sumps, <br />and Y and single adaptor connections in tank sumps. <br />Insert the barbed ends of the nylon test tube kit (FT 1151) <br />into the flow nipple on the installed CS2520. Tighten the <br />stainless steel clamp to 30 inch pounds. <br />Step Four— Testing the Secondary <br />Close the valves on the end of the nylon test tube kits <br />(FT1151) at the termination dispenser sumps. Connect the <br />air line to the kits in the tank sumps. Pressurize the second- <br />ary 3 to 5 psi and hold the test for 15 minutes. If the pressure <br />drops, soap test the piping and fittings to determine the <br />problem.
