Tait & Assadates, Inc. <br />Make every attempt to contain the release and prevent hazardous materials <br />from entering storm drains, gutters, grass/dirt areas, etc.. Show employees <br />where the spill response supplies are kept. Explain the criticality of only using <br />spark -free equipment when cleaning up or containing flammable substances. <br />If the spill can not be contained or cleaned up by onsite personnel, contact <br />911. Make every attempt to contain the release until emergency crews have <br />responded. <br />Explain the process for storing hazmat after a cleanup. Solid waste, such as <br />kitty litter or rags, must be placed in a properly labeled solid waste hazmat <br />container. Liquid hazmat must similarly be placed into a properly labeled liquid <br />hazmat container. <br />Through the containment and cleanup process, monitor and mitigate any <br />potential fire hazards (ignition sources such as electronics, smoking, etc.) <br />Ensure employees know whom to contact to report any spill or release. <br />X <br />
