HEALTH & SAFETY 0 2007 <br /> Debris and rubbish will be removed daily or stored out of the way in a separate location inside the <br /> fenced work area. Debris and rubbish will be transported in a manner that will help prevent spillage. <br /> 5.0 GENERAL HEALTH AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS <br /> 5.1 PERSONNEL TRAINING REQUIREMENTS <br /> Consistent with the OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 Regulation covering Hazardous Waste Operation <br /> and Emergency Response, all TAIT site personnel are required to be trained in accordance <br /> with this standard and provide current certification of this training prior to working on Tait job <br /> sites. <br /> The SSHO will verify that each TAIT employee has been trained and provide certification for <br /> the following: <br /> HAZWOPER Training either 40 hour or 8-hour refresher <br /> Confined Space Training <br /> Respiratory Fit Testing <br /> Basic First Aid and CPR <br /> 5.2 MEDICAL SURVEILLANCE REQUIREMENTS <br /> Medical Monitoring Programs are designed to track the physical condition of employees on a <br /> regular basis, as well as survey pre-employment or baseline conditions prior to potential <br /> exposures. The Medical Surveillance Program is a part of our Health and Safety Program. <br /> 5.2.1 BASELINE PHYSICAL <br /> Prior to being assigned to a hazardous or a potentially hazardous activity involving <br /> exposure to toxic materials, each employee must receive a pre-assignment or baseline <br /> physical. The contents of the physical are to be determined by Tait's Medical <br /> Consultant. As suggested by the NIOSH/OSHA/USCG/EPA's Occupational Safety & <br /> Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities. The minimum medical <br /> monitoring requirement for working on sites that may contain hydrocarbon-impacted <br /> soil is as follows: <br /> 11/07/2005 revision 5 5 <br />
