The inner
bore is corrugated for flexibility and compatible with
all fuels. Two layers of tough polyurethane add
strength and puncture resistance, enabling En-
viroflex to meet the minimum pressures of 250 psi,
the required 5 -to -1 safety factor. The secondary pipe
used in the Enviroflex system is of corrugated high-
density virgin polyethylene, immune to corrosion
and tested in accordance with AASHTO M294. It
provides complete secondary containment while
allowing for interstitial leak monitoring and
detection.
I
G
A
L
L
O
N
S
M
I
N
U
T
E
SIX NOZZLES FLOWING SIMULTANEOUSLY
MPD NUMBER AS POSITIONED
2- FRP MENVIROFLEX
Enviroflex primary pipe carries Underwriters Laboratories listing
MH16395 number A-203, Non -Metallic Piping for Petroleum Product!
The Enviroflex secondary pipe carries ULC listing.
VG l - ^T NOZZLE.INi. 6, FRP ].9.% DIFFERENCE'. 3.8
N=1ot recommended C=Conditional R=Resistant
Flow Rates are within 4% of 2" FRP.
• Burst Testing—Enviroflex exceeds the minimum
burst requirement of 250 psi. Testing was conducted
in accordance with ASTM D-380.
• Abrasion Testing—Samples of Enviroflex primary
pipe were stroked against the secondary pipe in
excess of 400,000 cycles without significant wear
experienced on either component.
• Adhesion Testing—Ply-to-ly adhesion of Enviroflex
primary pipe exceeds 20 pounds when tested in
accordance with ASTM D-413 test method.
Minimum requirements are ten pounds.
7' 4
30, 30,
z s
30, 30,
0
FRP-260 L.F. = EnviroFlex -240 L.F.
• Pressure Cycling Test—Enviroflex primary pipe
has successfully withstood repeated pressure
cycling of 100 psi for well over 200,000 cycles.
• Material Physical Property Testing—The tensile
strength of the Enviroflex primary pipe materials
exceed 5,000 psi when tested with ASTM D-638 test
method. By contrast, the UL330 requirement for
gasoline curb pump hose is 1,000 psi.
• Resistance to Kinking—Enviroflex pipe is rated at
a minimum bend radius of six inches without kink-
ing. The requirements for typical fuel delivery hose
of 11/2 inch I.D. is 15 inches.
