15. Please review your wiring and panel schedule, breakers do not seem appropriate
for the voltages and wattage requirements which makes me suspicious of the
wiring methods and wire sizes being used. Please indicate conductor count and
size on the home run indicators by accepted notation or appropriate notes for a
default wire size and item specific info for the larger sizes where appropriate.
Disabled Access:
1. Provide a path of travel from the handicapped parking to the main entry. I believe
there are slope problems along the path of travel due to a raised area along the
sidewalk as you round the corner of the store. In addition there is a raised area of
sidewalk in front of the outdoor telephone that would need to ramp down to
parking surface level. The current site plan does not show elevations, phone or
the changes in slope and cross slope along the sidewalk from the front entry to the
handicapped parking and I'm sure you have problems there. Final configuration
will cause changes to the A1.1 layout, detectable warning configuration and
details on A1.2.
2. Provide detectable warnings per 1133B.8.5. Modifications along the path of
travel will have an impact on the final configuration that should be shown on the
plans. The currently proposed configuration will not meet accessibility
requirements. Revise ALL, A1.2 and any other affected sheets.
3. This project exceeds the current threshold limit to qualify for Disabled Access
Unreasonable Hardship and must therefore meet all handicapped accessibility
standards of the ADA or Chapter 11 B of the 2010 CA Building Code, whichever
is more restrictive.
4. Provide an accessible path of travel to the trash enclosure including door landing
requirements at the man door (if that one is to be used to satisfy the handicapped
accessibility requirements.
5. Handicapped parking detail shown at 1/A1.2 will not suffice due to insufficient
width and configuration of the sidewalk, proximity to pay phones and slope/cross
slope of the path of travel along the north side of the building to the main
entrance. Insufficient details given to assess compliance to accessibility codes.
6. Towed cars can be reclaimed by contacting the City of Tracy Police Department
at 209-831-6550. This may be noted on the off-street parking sign.
7. Provide interior elevations as necessary to allow verification of handicapped
accessibility for customer accessible machines such as soda fountains, customer
service counter, food and drink service areas, food service lines and counters,
utensil and condiment reach ranges. Chapter 11 B of the 2010 Building Code and
ADA of 2010 (effective March 2012), whichever is more restrictive.
8. Division of State Architect recently issued "Emergency Express Terms" affecting
bathroom layout, please review the attached items for compliance in your facility.
9. Provide cutsheets or technical data for the automatic sliding doors which should
comply with the requirements of BHMA A156.10 or BHMA A156.19 as
appropriate and meet exiting requirements of Clip 10 section 1008.1.4.2 and
1008.1.4.3 as well as the appropriate portions of section 113213.2 of the 2010 CA
Building Code, certain details of the installation may need to be included on the
plans. Door landings cannot be evaluated due to sidewalk and outside conditions.
