conducted by a licensed physician, attesting to the worker's fitness for <br />wearing the respirator. <br />Only respiratory protection devises approved by the National Institute for <br />Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) shall be used. <br />1 W , <br />• For the safe use of any respirator, the user must be instructed in its <br />selection, use, maintenance and limitations. Both supervisory and hourly <br />workers shall be so instructed. <br />• Respiratory protection devises are approved for a particular usage when <br />used as supplied by and in accordance with manufacturers instructions. <br />• Parts from one respiratory protection devise must not be interchanged with <br />that of any other, even if the parts sem to fit properly or the devices are <br />approved for the same contaminant. <br />• Respirators must be used with all originally equipped parts intact. For <br />example, if a repirator was originally equipped with two headband, it must <br />always be used with both headbands in place. <br />
