Thermal power plants <br />greater than 50 megawatts are subject to the pennitting process of the California Energy <br />Commission under the Warren-Alquist Act; historically, the District has separately bid <br />large power plant project jobs, albeit, some initial work or investigation might be <br />conducted under the general support contract. SMUD projects with facilities greater or <br />equal to 100 kV, with SMUD as the CEQA lead agency, are subject to County or City <br />approval under the Gualco Act — Public Resource Code S 12808.5 , Government Code <br />553091 and §53096; thence, Sacramento County Zoning Code §301-10 thruogh301-12 <br />and City of Sacramento Zoning Code 529. Sacramento City Code number may have <br />changed as the City reworked its codes. <br />2.3.5 Pennit Assistance <br />Assist the District in obtaining permits for various actions or within disciplines including but <br />not limited to: <br />Endangered species <br />Migratory Bird Act <br />• Wetlands/Vernal Pools/Riparian <br />• Stream alteration <br />Construction stonn water <br />2-2 <br />RFP04030ORM.doc RFP Semices.dot <br />
