UCRL-AR-103194 <br /> Monitoring Program for New Underground <br /> Storage Tank 882- IUI <br /> Introduction <br /> The purpose of this document is to provide a routine monitoring program for <br /> Underground Storage Tank 882-D1U1. The program will help ensure detection of <br /> and response to an unauthorized release in the shortest time possible. <br /> In compliance with California Code of Regulations,Title 23,Chapter 3, Appendix A <br /> Subchapter 16,Article 3, Section 2632, Subsection(d) (included as Appendix A 23 CCR <br /> of this document),the program includes: 2 6 3 2(d) <br /> • A monitoring procedure. <br /> • A response plan for the removal of an unauthorized release. <br /> • A description of the reporting format to be followed should such a release <br /> occur. <br /> Responsible Personnel <br /> The Operator of Underground Storage Tank 882-DlUl is the second-line <br /> supervisor for Maintenance Mechanics. TheOperator's telephone number is <br /> (415)-423-5247. The Operator should maintain a copy of this monitoring program <br /> at the tank location so it can be reviewed during regulatory agency inspections. <br /> The Environmental Analyst assigned to provide environmental support to the <br /> program owning this tank is a member of the Environmental Operations Group in <br /> the Environmental Guidance Division of the Environmental Protection Department <br /> (EPD) and is a member of the Hazards Control Safety Team. The Environmental <br /> Analyst's telephone number is (415)-423-7417. <br /> The Hazardous Waste Management(HWM)Division personnel of the EPD <br /> pick up properly packaged and identified hazardous waste from waste accumulation <br /> areas and from retention tanks for temporary storage,repackaging,treatment, <br /> preparation for transport, shipment for disposal, or recycling. The HWM <br /> division's telephone number is (415)-423-1996. <br /> The Wastewater and Tank Systems (WATS)Group in the Environmental <br /> Guidance Division is responsible for providing guidance on tank compliance issues <br /> and for interfacing with the appropriate regulatory agencies on these issues.
