0
Knight, J.
Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Area 300
27 August 2001
Page 4
CONCLUSION/RECOMMENDATIONS
DTSC employees entering this site for future visits should take along a Ludlum
19 and a Ludlum 3 with pancake detector. The importance of the Ludlum 3 with
pancake detector will be in detecting possible depleted uranium sources. The
new confined explosives building will be in use and the residue from the
explosions will be washed down to the water treatment area and air filters will be
new hazardous waste sources. These new sources will have the potential of
containing depleted uranium. It is unlikely that a MiniRae®will be needed and
does not need to be brought along unless expecting some unusual volatile
organic compound source.
HERD-IHFSS is available to discuss this document and related issues. Should
questions arise, please contact Alan Jessen at (510) 540-3758.
S'
PEER REVIEW BY:
Kathleen Yokota ahl, CIH
Senior Industrial Hygienist
cc: Site File
HERD
