D. Fires may occur from sources of ignition. <br />a) "Hot Work" procedures for all welding, cutting, and soldering operations: <br />1. All reasonably movable combustible materials should be removed from <br />the Hot Work area and floors swept clean. Wood floors should <br />preferably be covered by metal or wet down. <br />2. A fire extinguisher having a minimum rating of 2 A, 10 BC should be <br />maintained nearby. <br />3. A fire watch should be maintained for at least 30 minutes after Hot <br />Work operations are completed. <br />E. If Contamination exposure is encountered on this project, activities will cease <br />and proper notifications and procedures will be followed. <br />B. EXCLUDED WORK ZONE <br />The boundary of the site shall be an excluded work zone. Personnel not actively involved in site <br />work activities (other than inspectors from concerned regulatory agencies) shall not be allowed <br />within the excluded work zone. <br />All personnel are to be familiar with this Site Work Health and Safety Plan. <br />Field supervisor will telephone for emergency service and notify office when needed. <br />5 <br />
