Preparation of a Technical Work Plan (TWP) / site-specific Health and Safety <br /> Plan (HSP) prior to implementation of in-place closure activities; <br /> 2. Preparation and submittal of a permit application to the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) for the in-place closure of one, <br /> 8,000-gallon capacity diesel fuel UST; <br /> 3. In-place closure of one, 8,000-gallon capacity fiberglass UST and associated <br /> underground and aboveground piping; and <br /> 4. Preparation of a UST closure report summarizing soil and groundwater <br /> assessment activities, detailing field methodologies utilized, and documenting <br /> the UST in-place closure procedures and protocols. <br /> 2.0 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> 2.1 PREPARATION OF SITE HEALTH & SAFETY PLAN <br /> Padre has prepared a site-specific Health and Safety Plan (HSP) for the subject in-place <br /> closure activities, which is attached as Appendix B. The HSP includes the necessary <br /> procedures, monitoring equipment, and other methods employed to protect worker and <br /> community health and safety throughout the course of UST closure activities. The HSP <br /> identifies chemical constituents most likely to be encountered during the course of the field <br /> activities, and presents established exposure levels that will not be exceeded. In addition, the <br /> HSP contains a hospital location map. All on-site personnel will be required to familiarize <br /> themselves with and sign the HSP in an attempt to minimize the potential site hazards. The <br /> HSP also includes provisions for daily tailgate safety meetings. <br /> 2.2 PERMITS <br /> Padre, on behalf of Petro-Analytical Inc. (PAI), will prepare and submit the appropriate <br /> permit application to the SJCEHD. Once the permit is issued, PAI will coordinate with the <br /> SJCEHD regarding scheduling of the work a minimum of 48 to 72 hours in advance. <br /> 10.0343.TWP HSP abandonment <br /> - - 2 - <br />
