Raymond von Flue [EH]
From: Greg Matas [gmatas@shieldsharper.com]
Sent: Friday,April 18, 2003 8:19 AM
To: Raymond von Flue [EH]
Subject: Kaiser Hospital, Stockton
Hi Ray,
At 7 am today I installed labels on the SP4500 secondary containment pipe at
the job site.
When you get there you will find a letter from Total Containment athorizing
me to attach those labels and a spec sheet on the SP4500. The spec sheet has
the listing number on it. This pipe is listed by ULC.
As for slope, This job is slopped very well. Still, when equipment becomes
available all containment pipe in California will have to be continuously
monitored. This upgrade will provide more security than slope against a leak
and potential spill. Please consider this fact when evaluating the slope of
the pipe on this job.
Finally, we hope your department will be comfortable with this product in
this application for the following reasons.
1) This is a suction system. Therefore, if a primary leak occured the spill
would be minimum since there is no pressure.
2) This primary pipe is a continuous run, exposed in the piping sump and
exposed out side the terminations at the building. The possibility of a
primary leak inside the containment is extremely remote.
You may call Tony the CEO of Total Containment regarding any product issues.
He is the person who met with the State and your department some time ago.
(877) 668-6825.
Regards,
Greg Matas
1
