Underground lines will be rinsed, <br />tested, and filled with concrete slurry for abandonment in place. <br />COMMENTS - This plan check is not to be construed as an approval for any code items not noted, or commented <br />on. It is the contractor's responsibility to conform to the provisions of all relevant laws, codes, ordinances, rules and <br />regulations. Work shall not commence without approved plans unless specifically allowed by the Fire Chief. All <br />inspections require the "APPROVED" job copy and job card to be available on the job site. <br />California Fire Code Title 24, Part 9: Matters not provided for. Requirements that are essential for the public <br />safety of an existing or proposed activity, building or structure, or for the safety of the occupants thereof, which are not <br />specifically provided for by this code shall be determined by the fire code official. <br />Inspections — Unless unusual circumstances arise, the developer shall provide at least twenty-four hours notice to <br />the Fire Department to arrange an inspection. Inspection requests may be made by calling the telephone number <br />listed above and scheduling either an A.M. inspection (10:00 a.m, to 12:00 p.m.) or a P.M. inspection (1:00 p.m. to <br />4:00 p.m.). <br />Additional Fire Inspection Fee(s) — Additional fee(s) will be imposed for any additional fire inspections that are <br />requested. <br />Additional Fire Department Notes: <br />1. Plans Approval — Abandon existing diesel fuel line due to removal of backup boiler (primary line). Approximately <br />120 feet will be abandoned in place and filled with inert solid filling material. Pipes left in place and filled shall <br />have pipes capped and/or plugged. ALL WORK SHALL BE WITNESSED BY STOCKTON FIRE PREVENTION <br />DIVISION, FIRE PREVENTION OFFICERS. CONTACT STOCKTON FIRE PREVENTION DIVISION FOR ON <br />SITE FIELD INSPECTION. <br />2. Pipes Abandoned in Place: <br />1) Flammable and combustible liquids shall be removed from the existing piping; <br />2) Pipes shall be rinsed and tested for combustible vapors: <br />3) Pipes shall be filled with concrete slurry: <br />4) All open ends of pipes shall be capped or plugged. <br />3.
