KNOX'S TEXACO FOOD MART
633 E. VICTOR ROAD
LODI, CA 95240
Underground Fuel Tank Monitoring Plan
The three underground motor fuel tanks at this site are new
Owens Corning Tanks Model P, doublewall, fiberglass tanks installed
in December 1990. The monitoring system on these tanks is twofold
and continuous as follows:
A. The annular space (interstice) on the tanks will be
continually monitored by the use of an Owens Corning tanks
hydrostatic monitoring system, consisting of the annular
space being filled with colored monitoring fluid up to the
mid point in the monitor reservoir on top of the tank.
An Owens Corning OF double float reservoir sensor installed
in the monitoring reservoir and electrically connected to
a Veeder Root TLS -2501 monitor panel and printer in the
office of the building. This monitor system will immediately
sound both an audible and visual alarm on the monitor panel
the instant a breach is made in either the inner or outer
tank shell.
B. The inventory or tank contents will be monitored continually
comparing actual tank inventory with additions and sub-
tractions to same as shown by the monitor panel being
compared to actual purchases and withdrawals (sales). This
system also monitors during hours of shutdown for any losses
or gains taking into account expansion and contraction due
to temperature changes, which are monitored and calculated
by this system.
Both of the above will be monitored via the one panel which
will be mounted in a highly visable sport in the store office. It
will be checked and balanced daily and the print out tapes from
this monitor filed daily in an easily accessible place and kept for
a period of three years.
The person responsible for implimenting and exercising this
monitoring plan will be Dave Knox, store manager. He shall also
be responsible for ascertaining that the equipment is at all times
working properly and properly maintained.
In the event of either or both of the above monitoring systems
indicating an unexplainable loss from or gain to a tanks inventory
(contents) it shall be immediately reported to the following:
San Joaquin County
445 No. San Joaquir
Stockton, CA 95201
Office Hours:--
Nites and weekends:
Public Health Services
Street
209-468-3420
209-462-8526
