1 G. Turbine Enclosur* (Model TE Series) The turbine enclosure is constructed of fiberglass reinforced plastic. The tur- bine enclosure is 42 inches in diameter and must be capable of mounting to the 42 Inch diameter secondary containment collar. Turbine enclosures are a minimum of two feet in length and are available in one -foot increments to a maximum of five feet: 31 Model Nm Length TE42-2 2 ft. TE42-3 3 ft. T1742.4 4ft. TE42-6 5 ft. Cut lines for field trimming will be marked on the bottom 12 inches of the turbine enclosure in three inch increments. The turbine enclosure top is constructed of high- density polyethylene. The top diameter is 42 inches, The lid openings are avail- able in various sizes: Lid Opening Model No. Diameter PT42-23 20.5 inches PT42-27 24.5 inches PT42-32 30.0 inches The turbine enclosure top includes a friction -fit lid constructed of high-density polyethylene. If needed, refer to Section I for the optional adhesive kit (to bond the turbine enclosure to the contain- ment collar) and Sections J, K, and L the field installed fitting kits (for electrical and plumbing connections to the turbine enclosure). H. Sealed Turbine Enclosure (Model STE Series) The sealed turbine enclosure is constructed of fiberglass reinforced plastic. The sealed turbine enclosure is 42 inch diam- eter secondary contain- ment collar. The minimum length of the sealed turbine enclosure is two feet and the maximum is four feet: Sealed Turbine Model No. Enclosure Length STE42-2 2 ft. STE42-3 3 ft. STE42-4 4 ft. The sealed turbine enclosure includes four factory -installed 1 inch NPT steel electrical fittings installed at 90 degree intervals. Cut lines for field trimming are marked on the bottom 12 inches of the sealed tur- bine enclosure at three inch increments. The top and lid of the sealed turbine enclosure are constructed of fiberglass reinforced plastic. The oval lid opening (30 inch by 24 inch) includes a 211 NPT threaded fitting (with steel fining plug) for access to the sealed turbine enclosure without removing the lid. The lid also includes the following hardware for sealing: 1. A rubber gasket. 2. Stainless steel threaded rod and wing nut. 3. Carbon steel support bar (32" long) 4. Two lifting handles constructed of steel. Cut lines for field trimming will be marked on the bottom six inches of the sealed tur- bine enclosure top in three inch increments. Refer to Section I for optional adhesive kits to bond the sealed turbine enclosure to the FRP top and the secondary contain- ment collar; also refer to Section L for the field installed fitting kit. Turbine Enclosure Adhesive Kit"(Kit-Ad) When properly installed and cured, the adhesive kit pro- vides a water tight seal to prevent the ingress of water The adhesive kit includes 1/2 gallon of adhesive in a one gallon capacity can. The kit also includes cata- lyst (hardener), a wooden mixing stick, a three inch wide plastic putty knife, 60 grit sandpaper, and installation instructions. One adhesive kit is required for each turbine enclosure; the sealed tur- bine enclosure requires two kits. J. Turbine Enclosure Electrical Fitting Kit Kit EF -1 includes four 1 inch NPT threaded couplings, with grommets, hole saw with arbor, and installation instructions. Kit GE -3/4 is designed for 3/4" OD electrical conduit; the kit includes 12 grom- mets, one hole saw with arbor, sandpaper, and installation instructions. Kit GE -1 is designed for V OD electrical conduit; the kit includes 12 grommets, one hole saw with arbor, sandpaper, and installation instructions.
