The OPW 53-V Series Float Vent Valves are designed <br />" to be installed in OPW 233-V Series extractor fittings to <br />form a system to help prevent product mixing, and to <br />meet the Federal EPA technical standards for overfill <br />prevention of petroleum UST's. <br />The OPW 53-V Series Float Vent Valves have a <br />stainless steel ball which in an overfill condition, seats <br />tightly against a specially designed valve seat, restricting <br />the flow of vapors back to the delivery transport, or tank <br />vent. The pressure created in the UST by this vapor <br />flow restriction works against the head of liquid remain- <br />ing in the delivery transport and hoses, to reduce the <br />incoming flow rate.
