O. Smith -Inland testing <br />shows that RED THREAD R piping can also be used for <br />conveying varying concentrations of ethanol and meth- <br />anol — consult A. O. Smith -Inland on your application. <br />MAINTAINS PRODUCT PURITY — RED THREAD H pipe, <br />with its fiber glass and resin construction, is inert to <br />Petroleum fuels, assuring freedom from contamination in <br />the product being handled. <br />FLEXIBILITY = A natural flexibility allows gradual bends <br />to be made with RED THREAD R pipe. It conforms easily <br />to gradual ditch contours. <br />EASY, ECONOMICAL INSTALLATION — Lightweight <br />RED THREAD H pipe is available in 15 and 30 foot ran- <br />dom lengths. The easy-to-use T.A.B. Joint, standard on <br />all UL RED THREAD pipe, promotes fast positive make- <br />up and prevents "backout" problems during cure time. <br />The combination of lightweight, flexibility and easy join- <br />ing assures economical installation. <br />THERMOSETTING PROPERTIES — RED THREAD R pipe <br />is made with a thermosetting epoxy resin. This means it <br />won't soften, cold -flow or balloon... even at its maximum <br />operating temperature of 150°F. <br />HIGH PRESSURE TEMPERATURE RATING — RED <br />THREAD II pipe in 2 inch size has a cyclic operating <br />pressure rating of 250 psi at 150°F. <br />HIGH FLOW CAPACITY — RED THREAD U pipe has a <br />greater flow capacity than many other pipes with the same <br />O.D. This is because its high-strength, fiber glass con- <br />struction provides a smoother I.D. and can provide a <br />larger I.D. for specified pressures. <br />THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY — The thermal conductivity <br />of RED THREAD R pipe is only a fraction of that of steel. <br />LOW COEFFICIENT OF LINEAR EXPANSION — The <br />coefficient of expansion of RED THREAD H pipe is 1/5 to <br />1/a that of thermoplastic pipe, and only twice that of steel. <br />QUALITY ASSURANCE — All 111 1 icforil ocrn TUOCAM n <br />0 Copyright A.
