tanks can include the optional fiber-
the inner and outer tmk walls.
4- 4'diameter DWT -6 Type If tanks do
not include a fiberglass reservoir. A
contractor supplied 4" diameter riser
pipe screwed into the 4- diameter annu-
lar space fitting, (provided with each
tank next to the manway) will serve as
Me reservoir for all 4'diameter double-
wall tanks. The riser pipe must be at
ieast 12* long to perform a precision
tank lest when using the hydrostatic
monitor. The riser pipe length must be
22" if a containment collar and turbine
enclosure encloses the annular space
fillinR to facilitate the removal of elec-
tronic Sensors.
S. All tanks include one monitoring
ting (4' NPT annular space fitting) locat.
ed on the tank top, This tilting provides
access to a hollow rib which will accom,
rnodate liquid sensors- For tanks 6
diameter and larger, if the tank is
equipped with the optional fiberglass
reservoir. the reservoir will be posi-
tioned over the normal monitor fitting
position and the tank will not include a
separate monitoring fitting. The reser-
voir includes one 41 NPT half coupling
in the reservoir top (6" NPT fitting for
10' diameter tanks 25,000 gallons and
larger). To provide access to the annular
space for liquid sensors, the hollow rib
under the reservoir will include a 4'
access hole.
5All tanks must be vented and ate
intended to be operated with fluid in the
tank no higher than the tank top.
Fib"lass tanks are designed for oper.
ation at atmospheric pressure only,
except when using vapor recovery sys-
tems, provided the pressure or vacuum
does not exceed i psi maximum on the
primary tank- Overpressurizing of the
primary tank will result in tank failure.
The monitoring cavity between the inner
and outer tank must be vented indepen-
dently from the primary tank.
