Wilson Way
Sacramento, CA 95838 Stockton, CA 95205
TEST SUMMARY
Praxair Services conducted Enhanced Leak Detection testing on February 20 -22,2006.An additional
sample event was also performed on February 25, 2006 to evaluate in ground detections that occurred
during original site visit.
2/20/2006
Arrived site:7:45 -Site consists of Two (12,000 gallon) Under Ground Storage Tanks and Four dispensers.
The product piping is double wall Smith Fiberglass (2 inch Primary/3 inch Secondary). The vent and vapor
recovery piping is single wall Smith Fiberglass-3 inch Primary.
Upon review, no secondary access was available on the product piping within the dispensers.Attempts were
made to confirm communication without trying to reconfigure the secondary boots-No good method could
be established- It was determined that steps needed to be taken to install access ports within dispensers-
CGRS will create access. While secondary accesses were being installed, pre-testing continued on the tank
top fittings, sumps and hydro testing of spill buckets. One leak was found and repaired on a nipple within the
87 turbine sump. Two repairs were also made on the spill bucket drain and swivel adapter.A leak simulation
was introduced into the ground to determine tracer migration and test time frames. All spill bucket passed
the hydro test. CGRS has all but one dispenser equipped with secondary access-OFF SITE:6:45 pm
2/2112006
ON SITE: 8:00 am- Samples collected from vertical probe system confirmed Leak Simulation movement at
adequate concentration and distance in 24 hours. CGRS completed secondary access install in final
dispenser.Tracer was introduced into tanks at 12:00 pm and was detected in fuel samples collected of each
product at target concentrations at the dispensers by 3:45 pm. Samples collected from the secondary of the
product lines showed no detection of tracer and both 87 and 91 product primary lines pass. Samples
collected from tank sumps and Under Dispenser containments (UDCs)show no detection of tracer. All pipe
fittings and connections within these sumps pass. Based on Leak Simulation results, sampling of the probe
system needs to occur 24 hours after the introduction of tracer into the tanks-Will return to complete final
sample event at 12 pm on 2/22.
