GEOMA mix <br /> i <br /> SITE HEALTH & SAFETY PLAN <br /> 3.2 SITE.PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is a fruit processing operation, consisting of office, storage, and brine buildings. <br /> Stockpiled fruit boxes are stored on site along the west fence line. <br /> 3.3 TYPE OF FIELD WORK. <br /> Soil boring.and groundwater sampling. <br /> 3.4 SCOPE OF FIELD ACTIVITIES <br /> • Advance a soil:boring to first water using the hollow stem-auger method and advance <br /> a HydroPunch into the water-bearing zone and collect a.groundwater sample_ <br /> 4.0 PRIMARY.RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> 4.1 PROJECT MANAGER <br /> The Project Manager(PM) shall: <br /> 1. direct all.GeomatrixP ersonnel involved in investigative,monitoring, and remedial <br /> activities at the site and vicinity; <br /> 2. make the Project Health and Safety Officer aware of all pertinent project develop- <br /> ments and plans; <br /> 3. make available the resources that are necessary for a safe working environment; and <br /> 4. maintain communications with the client, as necessary. <br /> 4.2 PROJECT HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER <br /> i <br /> The Project Health and Safety Officer(PHSO) shall: <br /> 1. direct all health and-safety aspects of investigative,monitoring, and-femedial activi- <br /> ties conducted by Geomatrix personnel at the site and vicinity; <br /> 2. ensure that all Geomatrix personnel have received required training, are aware of the <br /> potential hazards associated with.site operations,have been instructed in the work <br /> k practices necessary'for,personal health and safety, and are familiar with the site <br /> Health and Safety Plan's procedures for all scheduled activities and for dealing with <br /> E emergencies; <br /> 3. direct required exposure monitoring to assess site health and safety conditions; <br /> 4. prepare any aceident/incident reports; <br />` I T:TROJECI6508:0001document16508-04.doc .2 <br />
