None. <br /> 5.2.13 Other Hazards <br /> None. <br /> 5.3 GENERAL,HAZARDS <br /> Li In working with or around any.hazardous or potentially hazardous substances or situations, site <br /> F personnel should plan all activities before starting any task. Site personnel shall identify health <br /> and safety hazards involved with the work planned and consult-with the PHSO or SSO as to how <br /> the task can be performed in the safest manner,.if he/she has any uncertainties. <br />!, Common safety hazards include trip/fall hazards and those associated with working around <br /> heavy equipment. All field personnel will adhere to the following general safety rules. <br /> 1. Wear protective equipment and clothing provided, when required. <br /> k2. Wear a hard hat and safety glasses in all construction areas and during drilling activi- <br /> ties. <br /> 3. Wear sturdy work boots or shoes at the site. Steel-toed boots are required during <br /> drilling activities. <br /> 4. Do not eat, drink, or use tobacco in restricted work areas. <br /> S. Prevent splashing of materials containing chemicals. <br /> 6. Prevent back injury by never lifting or carrying a load that is heavier than you can <br /> comfortably handle.`l When lifting heavy objects,bend the knees and use the leg mus- <br /> f cles. <br /> L� - <br /> 7. Keep all heat sources away from combustible liquids; gases, or any flammable mate- <br /> rials. When working in areas where combustible gases are present, use only intrinsi- <br /> cally safe (non-sparking) equipment. <br /> 8.
