SAN JOAQUIN
CC LJ N T Y -------
Environmental Health Department
RCRA Large Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report
Facility Name:
Facility Address:
Date:
AMAZON.COM SERVICES INC (SJC7)
188 S INTERNATIONAL PKWY, TRACY
March 03, 2020
-Waste Oil
-Waste Toxics
-Waste Soaps & Latex Paint
-Waste Oxidizers
-Waste Flammables
Notes:
-Gregory Gutierrez (EHS Specialist) would not allow inspectors to inspect aisles where chemicals were stored
due to safety concerns.
-A majority of the hazardous waste that was observed in the disposal drums was wrapped in plastic bags.
There was no way to confirm that the wastes in the containers were segregated properly since it was difficult to
see what items were in the bags. It was also unclear if waste is being properly segregated due to the
inconsistencies between the labels on the hazardous waste drums and information contained in the Safety Data
Sheets.
-Per Gregory Gutierrez (EHS Specialist) no damaged items are sent to discounted warehouses (EWR4).
Facility also does not do donations. It was unclear if damaged/leaking hazmats go back to vendors. Per
Gregory Gutierrez (EHS Specialist), in most cases, the vendors do not want the damaged items.
AFTER THE COMPLIANCE DATE, EHD WILL BILL FOR ALL TIME AND ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH BRINGING
THIS FACILITY BACK INTO COMPLIANCE.
THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE.
Received by: Date: March 10, 2020
Inspector:
Inspector Phone:
Printed Name and Title:
LYDIA BAKER, REHS
(209) 468-8257
Emailed to Gregory Gutierrez, EHS Specialist
FA0023764 PR0541451 SCO01 03/03/2020
EHD 22-03 Rev. 9/20/2019 Page 10 of 10 RCRA Large Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator OIR
1868 E.
