5. gPLf
7-Eleven/Stockton 25
November 1989
r dissolved hydrocarbons have been reported in the past.
Tabulations of the laboratory results for TPH-as-gasoline have
been compiled for the monitoring and pumping wells (Table 3) and
for the domestic wells (Table 4) . These data tabulations
indicate that the majority of monitoring and pumping wells do not
contain detectable dissolved hydrocarbons. In addition, these
data suggest that dissolved hydrocarbons have not significantly
impacted any nearby domestic wells.
During this reporting period, nine groundwater monitoring
wells could not be monitored or sampled. Prolonged decline in
groundwater levels has caused FR-2, HW-3, MW-4, NW-5, MW-10, MW-
12 and PW-2 to go dry. Monitoring well MW-6 is no longer in
service since it was abandoned in September 19G6 due to the
reconstruction of Thornton Road. NSW-8 is temporarily out of
service because sampling equipment has obstructed it. GTI is
making every effort to correct this problem.
REMEDIATION SYSTEMS
The remediation systems currently operating at the site
consist of a groundwater-extraction system and a soil-vent
system. The groundwater-extraction system consists of pumping
wells designed to depress the water table and remove free product
and an air stripper designed to treat the dissolved constituents
-- in the groundwater. The soil-vent system was installed to
control hydrocarbon vapors and to aid in reducing the adsorbed
contamination in the vadose-zone soils near the tank pit.
cRutn+rr,x
