7-Eleven/Stockton 28
November 1989
is characterized by discontinuous sand bodies encased within low
permeability silts and silty clays.
Groundwater monitoring data have documented a decline of the
water table elevation by approximately 1.85 feet during this
reporting period. The groundwater gradient remains in an
easterly direction, except in the areas within the capture zone
of the pumping well. The gradient was a constant 0.004 ft/ft
during the three month period.
The results of the groundwater sampling indicate that the
distribution of dissolved hydrocarbons in the groundwater benea'.h
T the site is concentrated near the former underground-tank and
pump-island locations, and extends to the northeast side of the
site. The surrounding domestic wells contained detectable levels
of dissolved hydrocarbons sporadically during this reporting
period. Dissolved hydrocarbons detected in the domestic wells
continue to be of low concentration, sporadic and nonrepeatable
_. as reported in the past.
The remediation systems operating at the site include a
groundwater-extraction system and a soil-vent system.
Groundwater was extracted from the recovery well RW-1 at a rate
of 0.6 to 1.0 gpm. The soil-vent system operated at a constant
flow rate of 90 cubic feet per minute (cfm) throughout this
reporting period.
GH1E\1M%UR
F:CII\t1E.iR 1.INC
