Additional groundwater contamination was found in the area
of B1, B2, and B9. The laboratory reports of the analysis of groundwater samples from these
borings state that dilution was required to quantitate target analytes due to the presence of non-
target analyte interferences. This indicates the presence of some unidentified contaminant. The
presence of this contaminant prevents analysis of the sample at proper detection limits for the
target analytes. The results of the analysis indicate that there is an unidentified contaminant
present and the presence of target analytes, TPH-g and BTEX, is inconclusive.
Soil contamination was found in the area of B4, B5, B9 and B8. The laboratory reports of
analysis of samples from these borings state that sample surrogate recovery is beyond acceptable
limits. This indicates the presence of some unidentified contamination.
The recommendations contained in this report are for additional investigation to identify the
contamination, install three additional monitoring wells to establish the lateral extent of the
groundwater contamination, and pending results of the investigation formulate a site specific
remediation plan. PHS/EHD concurs with the recommendations outlined in this report.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
